Against the Wind Charity Ride Featured on Ballina Times Front Page and Online

The Against the Wind Charity Ride has received major media coverage in the Ballina Times, appearing on the front page of the print edition and in a full online feature. The article highlights how the Lennox Head–based Boaty Boys will ride 350km across the Northern Rivers to raise funds and awareness for women affected by domestic violence.

Held in partnership with the Rotary Club of Ballina on Richmond, the three-day challenge will run from March 27 to 29, travelling from Bonalbo to Eltham, on to Uki, and finishing at Lennox Head. The distance symbolises the approximately 350 domestic violence calls received each day in NSW.

Funds raised will support the Love Bites education program delivered through Rotary and provide emergency mobile phones for women leaving abusive relationships. The event also includes a charity gala night at the Eltham Hotel and community celebrations at the finish.

The Ballina Times feature reinforces the importance of the ride and reflects the strong community support behind the Against the Wind Challenge and its mission to create safer homes and stronger communities.
